Green Juice

Ingredients:

  • 1 bunch of kale

  • 1 bunch of spinach

  • 4 Granny Smith apples, quartered

  • 1 head of celery, stalks separated

  • 1-2 English cucumbers, cut into four pieces

  • 3 lemons, peeled

  • 1 bunch of parsley

  • 2 inches of ginger

I use a Breville juicer, it's not the best one on the market, but it gets the job done and was a reasonable price ($100 from Amazon).

Tips:

  1. Start with something soft, like lemon, to get the juicer going.
  2. Alternate leafy greens with celery stalks, apple quarters, and cucumbers to get the best outcome.
  3. Roll leafy greens into bundles.
  4. Re-juice the pulp at least once. I make balls of pulp and re-juice at the end. (If you have a super fancy juicer, this won't be necessary).

I store the juice in 8 oz mason jars and my husband and I consume the deliciousness within a few days. Research suggests fresh juice be consumed immediately, but who has time to juice every day?! I sure as heck don't! This system works for us so give it a try.

Look at that beautiful color!

Bottoms up!

Enjoy!
