Having my daughter was THE single greatest motivator for getting my shiz together.
My own mother wasn't present in my life, so I spent a lot of time looking at other moms & daughters, studying them, and deciding what kind of mom I wanted to be when blessed with the opportunity.
I knew that I wanted to be a hands-on mom, the one:
- 💗 playing with her daughter at the beach, not hiding under a cover-up on a chair
- 💗 sitting on the floor with her daughter, not sitting on the couch
- 💗 waking up early and excitedly waiting for her daughter to wake up, not the one laying in bed while her daughter plays alone
So the second she popped out of my body, I got super serious about what I put in my body and how I moved my body.
And over the course of a year, I lost 75 lbs and got into the best shape of my life. I did it with:
- 30 minute at-home workouts 5x a week 💪🏼
- a meal plan that focuses on more of the right foods 🥑🍌🥗 and less of the bad ones 🍕🍟
- a superfood shake that replaced my prenatal vitamin and probiotic (so we both stayed regular 💩😉)
- and an online community of other moms on the same journey, who supported me and understood the struggles 👯
