Ultimate Reset: Day 3
Day 3: Okay, maybe this isn't so bad afterall!
I'm still not feeling amazing or even "good," but I am feeling better than I did the first two days! Wohooo!
The headache is gone, so that helps A LOT! I also feel like my fog has lifted! That mental clarity is starting to peek through!
Exercise
You're not supposed to exercise while doing the Ultimate Reset because your internal body is doing a lot of work and you don't want to take energy away from your organs by exercising. However, a 20-30 minute walk or yoga is recommended!
I literally couldn't do anything the first two days because I was so tired, hazy, and well the headache had me down for the count!
But since I woke up feeling much better today, I did some light yoga and it felt so damn good! I was SO tight and I'm not sure if it's from the detox or just from the high-intensity workouts I've been doing.
Beachbody On Demand has a Yoga Studio with an Ultimate Reset Yoga series, so that is super exciting! I also took a walk this afternoon with baby girl because we both needed to get out for some fresh air!
So today's challenge was eating dinner out! I made plans with a few coach friends weeks ago, so I didn't want to cancel. I reviewed the menu and was THAT customer who made a million modifications and requests to her dinner order...and I have zero shame! I'll explain more about this experience below!
Detox Effects
My lower back is hurting today, but I read that this is a very common side effect! Hoping it gets better soon!
Here's what I had today:
First thing: 24 oz water with Mineralize and Optimize supplements
30 minutes later: Breakfast - 2 scrambled eggs, generous portion of steamed kale, whole grain toast
{{Thoughts: For some reason the plain kale and dry toast wasn't AS bad as it was on day 1!}}
2 hours later: Mineralize and Optimize supplements
30 minutes later: Lunch - Lentil Lime Salad and Microgreen Salad with Greek Dressing
{{Thoughts: I'm NOT a picky eater, but lentils are so BLAH! These were rough and I didn't enjoy them at all! Both the taste and texture leave so much to be desired!}}
2 hours later: Power Greens powder with water
30 minutes later: Snack - Vegan Chocolate Shakeology + banana + peanut butter
2 hours later: Mineralize, Optimize, Optimize supplements
30 minutes later: Dinner - fish, zucchini, red peppers
{{Thoughts: This dinner was supposed to have a honey lemon sauce and grits, but I asked for no sauce and steamed kale instead of grits. They gave me a kale caesar salad instead- so I didn't eat it. I felt bad complaining after making so many requests, but after seeing the price (because it was the special and the price wasn't listed), I REGRET that decision and should have asked for my steamed kale, damnit! I'm feeling pretty hungry right now as I write this, so I'll probably go to bed earlier than planned. The hubby ate at home and followed the meal plan: vegetable sushi rolls, miso soup, japanese cucumber salad. He LOVED it! }}
I'm having a cup of herbal blueberry tea now and it's so delish...maybe because I'm feeling hungry!
